Plugboard FAQs
If you have your plugboard hosted with us, we hope this page will be of some help to you. Please Note: In your admin panel, under 'Edit Options', we suggest that you do NOT edit the Base URL, Site URL, or Error template.

What are some of the features with this plugboard?
A big plus is the admin panel where you can manage your board and plugs. You also have the ability to set the size of the image you will have on your board. If you move your mouse over any link on your plugboard, you will see when it was added, the site it links to, and how many clicks it has received since being added.

Do I need to know about HTML to use this?
No you do not. You will receive a snippet of code that just needs to be added to your webpage. If you are unsure about this, we can add it for you if you like. The only thing that might need adjusting is the width if you want it to be smaller.

Will I be notified of when someone has plugged my board?
Sorry, but no. I'm afraid that with this board that feature is not available. So I do suggest that you monitor your board on a regular basis. Just a quick visit to the plugboard page is all it takes to check on it.

How do I manage the plugs that are on my plugboard?
When you log into your admin panel, click on the link that says 'Manage Plugs'. From here you can then delete any unwanted plugs, ban problem plugs, or just fix a broken link by clicking on Edit.

Am I limited to just using 88x31 plugs?
No, you can select any size you want to use for your plugboard. You can do this from 'Edit Options' in your admin panel. Typical sizes are 88x31 for plugs, 125x125 or 150x150 for ad buttons, or 468x60 for banners. If an image is plugged that is not the right size, it will be adjusted to fit, which may make it distorted - so be sure to state the size you are accepting for your board.

I need to make my board smaller. How do I do this?
You can change the size of your board within the code that you are sent. In the code that you have been sent, look for where it says 'width=__' and 'height=__'. The example below has been figured for 88x31 plugs.
To determine the width you want, decide how many buttons across that you want, and multiply it by 92. So if you want 3 across, take 3 x 92 = 276. 276 will be the number you have for the width.
To determine the height, decide how many buttons down that you want and multiply it by 35. Then take that number and add 115. So if you want 5 down, take 5 x 35 = 175. Then take 175 + 115 = 290. So enter 290 for the height.
Since you wanted 3 across and 5 down, this would equal 15 buttons to show for your plugboard. You can now go to your admin panel and click on Edit Options. Where it says Max Number of Buttons to show, you will enter 15.

Most of our clients are set up using this URL, replacing YOUR SITE with your own site name, all in lowercase and no spaces:
